My love for all things events started at a very young age when I always found myself assisting my mom in planning family vacations, upcoming holidays and family get-togethers. Driven by the desire to plan, help wherever was needed, and always be in the action, led me to my interest in weddings when I was in college!

While I was in college pursuing my strategic communications degree at the University of Missouri’s journalism school, my public relations classes led me to event planning. I took a handful of classes about public relations. My A-type personality lit up in those classes thinking YES this is the industry for me! Through these classes, I learned all the different steps of what goes into a well-planned and smoothly run event.

When I had started an internship with a wedding planner in Columbia, COVID quickly halted the events industry. This led me to finishing my senior year in Springfield, Missouri, where I met the most amazing wedding planner and began a new internship with Misty Willinger Events!

I was in awe of the planning process and how it can be a beautiful, sometimes stressful, creative time in designing a couple’s ideal wedding! I had the pleasure of working three plus years alongside Misty as her Associate Planner, and our team of event assistant rockstars. Through all my experience with Misty Willinger Events, I have gained invaluable knowledge of what it means to be your biggest supporter and copilot on this planning journey.
